IPL known as Indian Premier League is the biggest cricket league tournament in the world where eight teams represent eight major cities of India. It was in the year 2008 when the League appeared under the sponsorship of Lalit Modi and his IPL administration colleagues.
This tournament has brought together players from different countries under a roof. This tournament also made some innovations like Orange Cap and Purple Cap.
Orange Cap is given to the player to scores the most runs in the matches while Purple Cap is given to the player who is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. Along with this, there are many other awards are also given to the players after matches like Best catch, Man of the match, Most Sixes etc.
